Technology Integrated Montessori was founded by Engr. Hazel D. Villamor, ECE, in 2009. Engr. Hazel was an engineer by profession, and her first intention was to teach her children efficiency. This idea prompted her to study early childhood education. Throughout her studies, she discovered her passion for teaching children through applying what she learned with her children. She designed a Montessori school approach as her final project in her studies, which prompted her to find her own school. As an electronics engineer by profession, she was fond of using technology and wanted to integrate it into her school. She worked with her husband, Engr. Ronnie Victor B. Villamor, who is also an electronics engineer, to establish the facilities for the school. The school started operating in 2009 with programs offered for preschool students. By 2010, they temporarily rented a small house to accommodate elementary students. This allowed the school to have a small library, kitchen, and four classrooms.
By 2013, the school established a permanent location for elementary students, which happens to be across the street from the building for preschool students. The permanent building includes six classrooms, a Montessori room, a kitchen, an ICT room, a library, a court, and an activity area. In 2023, the school began to offer taekwondo classes, hosted by the G-Lioness Taekwondo team, that any child can participate in. In 2025, the school introduced the program “Absorbent Mind.” Technology Integrated Montessori of Meadowood then started implementing Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a tool in 2026, when a workshop was held to teach teachers how to use AI responsibly and ethically.
